About the event
Now that you've completed both Part 1 and Part 2 Intro classes, you are able to register for any of our advanced woodworking classes. Advanced classes will focus on a major power tool and/or advanced skills as well as tools and skills learned in prior classes. Advanced classes do not need to be taken in any particular order. You can pick and choose which ones you want to take based on the particular tool and/or skill that will be used or the project that you will build.
This class will focus on the different tools and techniques used to join two pieces of wood together. You will have hands on learning that will include simple glue joints with clamps, dowels, pocket holes, and biscuit joints. We will use a dado blade on the table saw to cut a rabbet "slot" in wood and discuss a variety of ways to clamp joints. You will be making a 5 x 7 wood frame as your project.
Registration is open to anyone who has completed BOTH Intro classes and is at least 16 years old.
